Parts Sales Representative

Position Overview:

Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and market penetration by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. Promotes, sells and/or secures orders from prospective and existing customers through a relationship-based approach. Provides customer service assistance to existing customers.

 

Job Duties:

Overall

  • Communicate independently, effectively, clearly, and professionally with customers, employees, supervisors and managers to establish and maintain considerate and cooperative relationships

  • Provide management with information regarding trends

  • Identify areas of improvement in the company and assist in creating and implementing solutions as needed

  • Follow all company policies and procedures

  • Keep work areas clean and organized

Sales/Customer Service 

  • Greet walk-in customers, receive, and fill counter sales orders

  • Answer In-coming sales calls, receive, and fill phone sales orders

  • Utilize on-hand resources to determine replacement part numbers and pricing

  • Present a suite of products and services offered to potential and existing customers, lead negotiations, coordinate decision-making process, and overcome objections to closure

  • Demonstrate products to customers and provide training on the use of products sold

  • Process sales orders and other related paperwork

  • Receive payments

  • Conduct out-bound calling to secure new customers or provide upgraded services to existing customers

  • Identify sales opportunities

  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with current customers and prospective customers

  • Analyze, research, resolve, refer, and follow up on customer needs regarding services and billing in an expedient and professional manner

  • Process RMA’s

 

Logistics 

  • Calculate shipping costs for customers

  • Arrange delivery of products

  • Manage shipments

 

Purchasing

  • Create purchase orders for customer related orders

  • Negotiate pricing with vendors on all special orders

Product Development

  • Identify new products that need added to the product line and/or inventory
